Tecnológico de Monterrey has obtained 184th place in the world, as well as being #6 in Latin America and #2 in Mexico, according to the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2024.

These are some of the most important rankings in the world because of their methodology and the volume of information processed to prepare them.

This year, 2,963 universities from around the world were ranked, of which 1,503 made the list of the top academic institutions from 104 countries, 32 of these being from Mexico.

The Tec’s strengths

Neil Hernández, Director of Research at the Tec’s Office of the Vice President of Research, stressed that the institution’s strongest indicators in this year’s rankings were: Employer Reputation, Employment Outcomes, and Academic Reputation.

- Employer Reputation

This is Tec de Monterrey’s best-scoring category, where it went from 43rd to 28th place in the world, climbing 15 places from last year.

- Employment Outcomes

This is a new criterion for this year’s rankings, where the Tec reached 41st place.

“The fact that we were ranked 41st in the world the first time this indicator was presented shows our international recognition,” explained Hernández.

In the category of Academic Reputation, the institution climbed 7 places, going from 164th to 157th place.
