The Emergency Student Fund will support families facing harsh financial circumstances due to COVID-19
By CONECTA News Desk - 03/25/2020

Tecnológico de Monterrey has set up the Emergency Student Fund to offer extraordinary measures of a temporary nature to families in its community who have been affected by the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We’re aware that this crisis has caused a significant economic impact on many sectors of society, including job losses.

“Self-isolation and social distancing measures are slowing down the growth of different businesses, industries, and whole sectors. This means that some Tec families will be affected more acutely,” said Rector David Garza in a message sent to students and their parents.

The rector also invited the community to join this cause.

“For those wishing to offer their support with donations, this is an important time for the Tec to receive their generosity,” he added.

The rector urged them to follow the recommendations of the authorities and to consult the latest news from the Tec about the emergency through its different channels.

“I hope that you can find strength and greater communion with your loved ones in these difficult times,” he concluded.
